Get organized for back to school with this school command center that you can make in just five minutes. The fun whale theme is perfect for kids big or small. Don’t love the whale? We have tons of wood art options at Old Time Pottery that can be substituted. Pick the one that will fit in with your decor and head back to school more organized and ready to tackle the school year. Every mom needs one of these to make that morning rush just a bit easier.

Start with the wood art of your choice from Old Time Pottery. We used this wood whale that already has saw tooth hangers on the back. Yep it is already painted and ready for hanging in your home! However we decided to make him a little more functional and get organized for back to school.

You will also need removable hooks like Command brand that work with the items you have in mind to organize. In this case we are using it for those backpacks, jackets, hats, and more. We used four hooks all in a row on the bottom of our wooden whale. Follow the instructions on your package of hooks to add them to the wall art.

Be sure to allow the hooks to set the proper amount of time as listed on the packaged before using your new school command center. After that, just hang on the wall and get everyone’s school supplies organized for the first day. This makes a great drop zone for those school items so you will always know where they are during the morning rush out of the door. Grab a wood whale or other wood art from Old Time Pottery and take five minutes to make your own school command center before your kids head back this fall.
