Supplies need to make your own bunny mason jar craft:

  • Quart mason jar with at least one smooth side (we have a wide variety of mason jars at Old Time Pottery)
  • Bunny ears (these foam ears work perfectly for this craft and can be found in the Easter section of Old Time Pottery)
  • Pink and white craft paint
  • Foam circle brush
  • Paint brush
  • Duck tape or white card stock

Clean your mason jar well before beginning.  We recommend wiping it down with rubbing alcohol.  Be sure not to touch the surface after cleaning.  Paint immediately with two to three coats of pink craft paint.  Allow to dry between coats.

Once the last coat has dried completely, get some white craft paint along with a round foam brush.  This will allow you to make the polka dots on the jar easily.

Use the round portion of the brush to make dots randomly all over your mason jar.  Allow to dry completely.

In the meantime, cut the foam ears off of your bunny headband and apply to the lid of the jar with hot glue.  We also used white duct tape to cover the top of the jar lid.  White card stock would work here as well.  This is optional but will give your project a more finished appearance.

Once the jar has dried, screw on the lid and display this fun craft project in your spring home decor.  You will love having this bunny mason jar as a part of your decor or on your Easter table.  You can also fill the inside with candy for an adorable Easter gift idea that can be given to anyone.
