If you are throwing a wedding on a budget, I have the solution for you! They have artificial flowers of every variety just waiting on you to create your own gorgeous DIY bridal bouquet or bouquets for your bridesmaids. The step by step instructions are below so you can see just how easy this project is!
Supplies needed to make your own DIY bridal bouquet:
- Artificial flowers (pick out flowers you love that match your wedding colors)
- Floral tape (be sure you use floral tape)
- Bridal bouquet wrap
First remove all of the artificial flowers from the bunch by cutting the stems. I left the stems as long as possible until the final step.
You can remove some of the greenery from your flowers if desired. I found that leaving all of the greenery on these roses was just too much. I removed some until I liked the look. I then started at the top and placed a few flowers together at a time.
Use floral tape to secure the stems together as you go. When using floral tape, hold it taught and wrap around the stems. The tape becomes sticky when stretched.
Keep adding on blooms to your DIY bridal bouquet.
Then secure with more floral tape as you add on stems.
Once you are happy with your bouquet, cut off the stems to the length that you desire. Hold up the bouquet wrap to the stems and make sure the wrap will cover the entire thing. Then wrap the entire thing REALLY well with the floral tape as shown below.
Add on your bouquet wrap. This particular one was self adhesive. If you can’t find a bouquet wrap you love, just use a piece of fabric and some rhinestones. Using your hot glue gun to secure the fabric to the stems will be more than enough.
Your DIY bridal bouquet is ready for any wedding that you are helping to plan. Use this same method to create bouquets for all of your bridesmaids as well.
