When I was a little girl one of my favorite times of the year was when fall was in the air. It meant football, jumping in the leaves, pumpkins, and baking. Not much has changed as I grow older. I love the welcoming of the season.
Looking forward to sharing the table with friends and family. In this busy time, we don’t take the time to enjoy our meals and our family. We run from one thing to another. That is why I like to set my table. I like for it to look inviting. A place you want to sit down at and laugh and tell stories of  the day while sharing memories of our loved ones. A place where maybe the phone will be set aside and everyone will want to sit and eat.
This year I decided to mix farmhouse with a little bit of chic. The colors I chose are blue and golden yellow with hints of orange, green, black and white. Combing these colors will begin my farmhouse chic tablescape.
Old Time Pottery has a great sale going on and I snatched up a beautiful set of golden dishes. I love color and I also love to do something different. With the deals I get there I am able to decorate with some much.
I found beautiful peacocks. This was my bird of choice for my table. All those feathers of color are so pretty. They matched the napkins I found there too.
It was just enough to break up the the wood color.
I also filled a  farmhouse tin with fall foliage, gords, pumpkins and peacock feather, I added curly willow and cotton. My favorite is a painted blessed sign that I just stuck inside. It made a perfect centerpiece.
I found bamboo lazy susans and used them as chargers. I had fun creating something customized with them.
With a Sharpie I wrote Give Thanks around the circumference of the lazy susan. This will outline the dishes that set upon them.
I added pumpkins to the center of the table too.
I love the farmhouse chic tablescape. I feel blessed to be able to share it with my friends and family. So the picture says it all.
Holiday tables continue to change as we entertain more. Old Time Pottery makes the choices easy to do.
