Labor Day is a national holiday for American workers. It’s a day off and we celebrate….and eat! Lots of BBQ and football. So I decided to combine the two. Having a picnic with friends will be fun. I love the ole red, white and blue, but this time I went in a different direction.
FOOTBALL!!
I found lots of football platters and accessories at Old Time Pottery. I love that I actually found a grass carpet there to set everything on. It is such a one stop shopping trip for me. I can find most of what I need. The grass carpet will  be the backdrop of the football field. Just ran some tape down to make lines. Just wanted something easy. You can paint nice stripes too if you rather.
Football is now in season. These platters bowls and accessories will be used for every game we watch this year!
This one has pretzels but I can see lots of great dips being made in here.
My favorite thing I found were football player vinyl stickers.
Old Time Pottery had pretty blue plastic tumblers I wanted for our drinks.
These stickers, when peeled off, left the football player image and I attached them to the tumblers
They look so cool, Everyone loves them. Best of all they are so easy. There are team logos for the back but the players are what make it. As long as you hand wash carefully, they can be used again.
They make an awesome decoration on the table or in this case the rug
Now we wait for the hotdogs and hamburgers to grill and the referee to throw the coin
This is going to be a great Labor Day. Relaxing with friends on our day off!
The only Labor here will be washing the dishes!!
