Old Time Pottery has large rolls of burlap as well as raffia. You will also need to pick up some google eyes, various colors of felt, fabric glue, and black dimensional paint to complete your craft project.
First you will need to cut your burlap to size. We used rectangles that are 8 inches long.
And 5 inches tall. One piece cut to this size will make one treat bag.
Form the bags as shown below and add fabric glue to the back seam and along the bottom. Allow to dry completely. If you sew, you can also sew these up with your sewing machine. Be sure to add glue or fray check if you sew as burlap has a tendency to ravel.
Once dry, add eyes and a felt nose with the fabric glue. Then draw on mouths with dimensional black paint. Allow everything to dry completely.
Finish off by adding a raffia “bow tie” to the bottom with glue. Use additional raffia to tie off the top once you fill with the candy of your choice.
