Much like dressing for the winter, adding layers to your home will help at the cozy, warm feeling you’re looking for. The best part about this is that it’s very affordable and very easy. Adding layers can be as easy as simply draping throw blankets over your furniture. You can also layer up by adding plenty of accent pillows to your furniture. You can continue with drapery and even more!

Nothing screams winter like curling up with a good book by the fire in the study. And I know what you’re thinking, “Wait, I don’t have a study”. Don’t worry, you don’t need to have an actual study to have a study if you catch my drift. To create that cozy feeling, all you need to do is utilize smaller spaces to make thing intimate. This can be as easy as putting a chair in a small corner next to a bookcase to create a reading nook or transforming a bigger closet into a reading bench. So many possibilities!
