Crisp air, colorful leaves, and orange pumpkins are sure signs that Fall is once again here for a time. This is just the start of not only the holiday spirit, but the decorating spirit too! There are so many great reasons to celebrate the season, and a wreath is a great way to do that.

A simple, festive autumn wreath is perfect to show your love for Fall! The best part of this project is that it will last for a couple months. The simple burlap and twig wreath draw in the rustic charm of Fall. Then, the sunflowers hint at one of Fall’s favorite flowers, yet are generic enough to last you through Thanksgiving! I love the simplicity that the simple woven wreath gives. When Halloween comes around, you could add black ribbon and spiders to give it a scary flare. You could even add decorative corn and pumpkins for Thanksgiving!

What you’ll need:

  • Twig Wreath
  • Burlap Ribbon
  • Silk Floral Sunflowers
  • Scissors

Make this wreath in two easy steps:

  1. Cut burlap ribbons and tie on the back side of the wreath to secure. Wind ribbons around the wreath in alternating directions to make “x” shapes around wreath. Secure on the back where you started the ribbons.
  2. Stick silk floral stem into the wreath and adjust bloom to sit flat against the wreath.

As easy as this wreath is, it gives sophisticated decoration for the cooler season! So, what are you waiting for? Head on over to Old Time Pottery to get inspired for your Fall decor!
