Recently, I have been trying to follow a new diet. This eating plan consists of no sugar, low/no carbs, high protein and moderate fat. It’s tough, but I feel great! I find that when I prepare my meals and snacks ahead of time, it’s much easier to follow the rules – which is where Old Time Pottery comes in!
OTP has a huge selection of tupperware in all different shapes and sizes – from tiny containers for your spices and sauces, to large containers that can house soups, meats, and more! I decided on a pack that includes 3 medium sized containers, 1 slightly larger container, and 1 small container – which is perfect for my meal-prep needs.
I keep things pretty simple on this diet – meat, veggies, beans, and eggs. I find that sometimes it can be hard to motivate myself to prepare veggies, so one of my favorite diet tips is to chop my veggies up before I get hungry and then put them in a tupperware container – then they are ready to go when it’s time to eat! This is a great tip for veggies that you can then use in a salad, stir fry, stew, or just to snack on raw.
With this new tupperware set, I was able to fully prepare for this super easy, healthy take on a burrito bowl (one of my favorites)! I had an event after work and knew I wouldn’t want to cook, so I prepped this all in the morning before I headed into the office. First, I diced some tomatoes, onions, and orange pepper and put them in separate containers. Then I cut and cooked a chicken breast and put it in the largest container. Lastly, I rinsed and drained a can of black beans, added paprika, red pepper (I’m not afraid of a little heat!), and some garlic powder and then scooped it all into my last container so it could marinate while I was at work. When I got home from my event all I had to do was dump everything into a pan, sautée it with olive oil, and enjoy! What’s your favorite meal prep tip? I’d love to hear your ideas!
