March is the month of luck! While not Irish myself, I have always enjoyed this holiday. What’s not to love about the idea of finding good luck? And what’s not to love about another fun holiday to host a party for! I took advantage of this opportunity to throw a fun event and incorporated the color/rainbow theme to host a nail polish swap for St. Patrick’s Day!
A party like this can be easy to host if you keep it easy:
Fun Event: Each guest that came had to bring a nail polish bottle that they wanted to trade for a new color. As host, I also purchased some extra colors just to make sure we had enough nail polish to go around. I also supplied nail polish remover, cotton balls, and manicure tools so that we could do our own manicures and pedicures during the party.

Fun Snacks: The food industry has made it so fun and easy to do rainbow snacks! Between Lucky Charms, Skittles, Starbursts, and Funfetti cake, I had plenty of sweet treats to go along with my colorful St. Patrick’s Day night!

Fun Decor: Old Time Pottery was my destination to get my decor. I got these fabulous rolls of deco-mesh ribbon in all different colors of the rainbow. I also used some of my favorite staples from Old Time Pottery like my white open stock dishware and glass vases/bowls to serve the snacks in. Another one of my favorite staples is this fabulous green tablecloth I got there a few years ago. I embellished my party table with shamrock themed ribbon to wrap my flatware and embellish my serving dishes.
Parties can be easy and really, really fun. Don’t be afraid to use the next upcoming holidays as an excuse to throw a fun time for you and your friends…and maybe bring some extra luck to your household!
