One of my favorite things about going to the amusement park is the large selection of amazing food (which is undoubtedly terrible for you)! You can get anything you want including one of my all time favorites: Candied Apples. That’s why when I came across this recipe I had to try it and share it! And let me tell you, it was well worth the 40 minutes I spent making these. Even though they do take a bit of time to make, they’re really easy to make and are sure to be a hit when entertaining. Enjoy!

  • 15 apple
  • 2 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 1⁄2 cup water
  • 8 drop red food coloring

  1. Lightly grease cookie sheets. Insert craft sticks into whole, stemmed apples.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, combine sugar, corn syrup and water. Heat to 300° F or until a small amount of syrup dropped into cold water forms hard, brittle threads. Remove from heat and stir in food coloring.
  3. Holding apple by its stick, dip in syrup, remove and turn to coat evenly. Place on prepared sheets and allow to harden.
