It really changes everything.
I love to refresh my rooms at the beginning of a season. There is something special about added color to a room especially when the sun is shining through. It is spring and I am wanting a change.
I am really excited because I just redesigned two rooms for around $100 by refreshing with spring linens and moving some trinkets around. Have you bought linens lately? They can be expensive.
For my sun room and guest bathroom redo, I purchased pillows, blankets, and towels from Old Time Pottery.
Primary colors are turquoise and coral. I also added florals.
I love this print. Reminds me of vintage papers or my favorite pants from the 80’s. LOL!
I started with a blank slate:
It was obviously screaming for some color. A little coral coverlet and some floral pillows for the sofa and this became transformed.
Gathering items from other rooms that went with the color palette became the accessories that made the room complete. Birds, flowers, and bunnies all over!
The beautiful light warms the space.
After I did the sun room, it was time to change up the guest bath
This framed gallery wall had to go. More color with new towels and artwork.
I kept the turquoise going.
It is such a change that everyone noticed right away. Refreshing with just some spring linens was an inexpensive change. I need to paint and maybe add some major things but right now this will do. Just goes to show you you don’t have to spend a fortune to refresh a space.
Some days I need to know that I will come home to happy color. Some days sunshine is the best medicine. With this design refresh, I feel like I get both and it always puts a smile on my face.
Home sweet home!
