Hey guys! T’is the season to decorate so I pulled out our Holiday decorations this year from storage and immediately noticed that some of our decor was starting to look dark and dated. And since we recently added a chic new blue area rug to our family room, I knew I had to lighten things up! So I shopped Old Time Pottery in search of Holiday decor in fresh bright reds, chartreuse greens and creamy whites. And I found exactly what I was looking for, all for less than $50, love that!

Here’s our family room below all decked out for the Holidays! I love how the bright reds, greens and creams keep things light and airy, and work with our new blue rug, and not against it.

This has to be one of the simplest Holiday decorating tricks in the book below. Simple Christmas Balls arranged in a dish or bowl. Easy and pretty!

This red tray below cost just, are you ready for this, $5.99. I love how it coordinates with the silver decor balls. And if you look closely the tray has a faux wood grain, love that detail…

These modern Christmas tree cones were affordable as well. Literally all three cost just $12 total. And they’re big, perfect for above the fridge or any area in need of larger decor.

And here’s our Christmas tree below which sits in our home office. I edited our ornaments this year using only red, chartreuse green, gold, silver and creamy whites. And I really love how the overall look is much lighter and fresher.

It really is amazing how just a few new Holiday finds can update the look and feel of your entire home. Okay, Old Time Pottery – ya gotta go! You’ll find affordable decor so you can create your prettiest Holiday yet, and without spending a lot of money. Yup, it’s decorating JOY ;).

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays – I’ll see you in 2014!
